Northern Ireland – Northern Ireland Open 2017 – 10-13 August

As the ‘final  stepping-stone’ before amateurs hit the PGA and European Tour events, the Northern Ireland Open is the place to see Ireland’s future international champions. But this event, which takes place at Galgorm Castle in Ballymena, is so much more than a simple tournament. The whole family will enjoy this celebration of golf, with free golf lessons, kids fun area and a huge range of local produce for sale at the NI Open Food Festival.

France – Cordon Golf Open – 31 August – 3 September

Winning a place on the European Challenge Tour in 2007, the Cordon Golf Open has earned its reputation as one of the most exciting tournaments in the sport. 2016 saw Alvaro Velasco make a remarkable comeback from eight shots behind to claim a one-shot victory, and drama has become practically a tradition on this unpredictable course. Of course, amateurs are welcome to test their mettle outside of competition. Set on the edge of Pléneuf-Val-André on the Brittany coastline, the only thing distracting you from your links play will be the stunning scenery.

Netherlands – KLM Open 2017 – 14-17 September

Last year, on the 114th birthday of this revered professional golf tournament, the KLM Open introduced an amateur twist to the competition. Almost 80 up-and-comers were invited to “Beat The Pro” as they arrived at the par-three 14th hole.

France – European Men’s Club Trophy 2017 – 26-28 October

For a golfing break with a luxurious spin, head 20 km north west of Bordeaux to the Golf du Médoc resort to see Europe’s best amateur teams go head-to-head. Compete with your own team on the verdant greens or simply enjoy the show with a glass of the region’s finest wine. After a long day on the course, head to the resort’s restaurant for local specialities or relax in the beautiful on-site spa.
